I have this Revotec Fan Controller fitted to my Trumph TR6. After the engine is switched off a minute or so later this thermostat kicks in and starts the fan It will run for about 6 or 7 mins which in turn flattens the battery. What temp range should it switch off ?
These Revotec Fan Controller units are adjustable so you can set the temperature with a screw on the unit. Also if the EFC is wired to a switched ignition power source it will not be able to run after the ignition has been turned off. If you have it connected to a permanent live it will be able run on after the ignition is off, especially because the temperature in the engine bay would rise slightly after you turn off the engine causing the fan to run on. You can either wire it to a switched ignition or set the temp a bit higher on the thermostat to a point where it will avoid this happening, but obviously this will effect the normal running of the fan.
