I have fitted a Rover V8 in a Mk1 Cortina. Can you tell me can I use a remote filter AND a oil cooler. If so could you let me know what parts I will need to order I will use all 5/8 bore rubber hose.
That should not be a problem, the only thing you can not do with a remote filter is use the thermostatic sandwich plate. You will need a Mocal sandwich plate and cover plate M-SP-1 and M-CP-3/4UNF. The sandwich plate has 1/2BSP ports and these will take the 1/2BSP to 5/8 BSP adaptors. A remote filter housing you have a choice for what best suits your installation and the Mocal remote head can come ready tapped for an oil temperature sender. A choice of Mocal cooler, again you can take your pick, but to get to 5/8" hose you will need the 5/8" BSP, If you do require an oil thermostat you would have to use a remote Mocal Thermostat fitted in the feed and return to the oil cooler.
