If you are purchasing a race suit, boots or gloves, the following information is to help you choose the correct sizes. We sell both Alpinestars and Sparco race wear, there are slight differences in their sizes which we will compare to help you choose between the two manufacturers.

The above charts are exact measurements for both the different manufacturers. We have compiled a chart below to cross reference the two and to generalise the sizes.
How to measure -
HEIGHT: Easiest way is to stand up straight against a wall and ask someone to measure your height from the floor to the top of your head.
CHEST: Measure around the fullest part of your chest and under the arms, keeping the measuring tape horizontal.
WAIST: Measure around the natural waist line, above the hips, keeping the measuring tape horizontal.
HIP: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, 20cm under the waist line making sure to keep the measuring tape horizontal.
INSEAM: Whilst standing against a wall, ask someone to measure from the crotch down to the floor, holding the tape close (but not on) your inside leg.

RACE BOOTS
There is no sizing chart for race boots. We recommend that you choose the size to the same European size as your normal shoes. We say European size because both Alpinestars and Sparco are European manufacturers and they size their boots in this way.
Remember; race boots are, by design, a slimmer, tighter fit than standard shoes so they will be a much closer fit than your regular shoes. There should be virtually no room at the end of your toes and you should be able to feel the boot “encasing” your foot when fully laced up.
The chart below cross references both Alpinestars and Sparco Euro sizes into UK sizes.
